There is a 1% fee charged to sellers unloading at our dock
and using the auction services. There is a 2% fee charged
to sellers delivering by truck and using the auction services.
Product can be unloaded directly from the fishing vessel
or delivered by truck in totes (net wt.). Vessels or trucks
should hail up to four days in advance to reserve an unloading
appointment and to give buyers ample notice of incoming
product.
Once the fisherman commits product to auction, it may not
be withdrawn before the auction takes place. Auctioned lot
sizes range from 100 -1000 lb. increments. Fish will be
graded by the auction into size grades only - no
quality assessment will be undertaken by the auction.
Fish will be auctioned by species / grade where all buyers
may compete until the high bidder wins. The highest bidder
then selects which lines to take. The fisherman or his representative
will have the right to refuse the bid by scratching. Scratched
fish may be re-iced and held over for the following auction
or removed. If no bid is received for a line, that fish
will be withdrawn and the responsibility of the fisherman
to remove from auction. Fishermen will be settled for the
auctioned fish within 24 hours following the sale of the
fish.
